Be a Devil Slayer

“Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” - Mark 5:8

Jesus commands an evil spirit to come out of a man who has been tormented and driven by it.  It is interesting to observe that the evil spirit was in the man and the cause of his demented condition.

We are told in Ephesians 2:2 that evil spirits work in the children of disobedience, and again Paul, the apostle, says, “Give no place to the devil.” We as human beings are spirits, living in a physical body. We exist within the human body.

Evil spirits desire human bodies to live in which enables them to give expression in this world. Jesus demonstrates His authority over evil spirits by His Word saying to it “Come out”. Jesus continually healed the sick as well as casting out evil spirits and setting people free from these demonic attacks.

This authority has been given to you as a child of God because He has said, “They who believe shall cast out evil spirits in my name”. Through, and in His name you can drive out evil spirits that torment, vex and afflict individuals.

You do not have to be afraid or be intimidated by the devil. The name of the Lord Jesus, His precious blood and the Word of God are mighty weapons to overcome any demon powers.

Today no weapon formed against you by an evil spirit shall prosper.  Ephesians 6:13-17 says you stand clothed in the armour of God. You have a helmet of salvation, a breast plate of righteousness, a belt of truth and shoes with the preparation of the gospel of peace, the shield of faith stopping the attack of the devil, wielding the sword of the spirit, the Word of God, praying and being watchful.

Be a devil slayer today, a victor over all the power of evil spirits…not in your strength, but in His.

Dear heavenly Father, thank You that my name is written in heaven and You have given me power over all the power of the devil in the name of the Lord Jesus.
