“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”
- Mark 11:23
This seems impossible, that we can say it and it will happen - that we get what we say. Jesus said this because He had spoken to a fig tree and it withered and died. Peter draws attention to this remarkable fact, that Jesus virtually said, “You can have what you say” just speak the word. Say it, not pray it and it will happen.
The power of our words, are awesome. God spoke the universe into existence. He said it and it happened. He said, “Let there be” and it was so.
Joshua spoke and said, “Sun stand still” and the period of a day was lengthened so that there was more time and daylight for them to complete and win the battle they were fighting.
This is the same kind of faith that God has. Our destiny is formed by our words. Be careful only to speak those words that edify, strengthen and uplift. Make sure you say what you expect to receive, because that is what you are going to get.
Continue to speak doubt, failure and about the failure of others and that is exactly what you will reap. Speak words of failure over your life and the life of others and they will fail. Speak words of poverty and bankruptcy and that is what you will get. Speak failure over your children and they will fail.
So watch your words today and make sure that no negative words or doubt and unbelief flow out of your mouth.
Dear God and Father, I thank You for helping me to speak those things that help and edify, build and create, in Jesus name.
