We Shall See Him
“Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” - Matthew 24:30
Jesus says that after some of the most spectacular signs ever witnessed by man there will be this sign - the sign of Him appearing in heaven, on the clouds, with power and great glory. All will see Him, and many will mourn because of their failure to have believed in Him and to have acknowledged Him as Lord.
They will mourn because they rejected Him and failed to serve Him. Regardless of how we may feel, or what our circumstances may be, we are called to service. We live and walk daily by faith and are not to be dictated to by our feelings or our possessions in life. Jesus Christ is the dearest and most valuable asset anyone can have. There is nothing comparable to Him.
Paul the apostle said “For me to live is Christ and to die is gain”. Apart from Him what is there to gain in this life? Everything of any material value, be it money, property or gold, silver or diamonds, will be left behind at His coming.
The Bible says that, “Every eye shall see Him”. Some will be glad while others will be sad.
What value do you place on Jesus today? How deep is your commitment to Him today? When you see Him what will your response be? It may not be at His coming, but what about after this life? We shall definitely see Him one day. Determine to make your life count for Him.
Dear heavenly Father thank You for every good and perfect gift that comes from You. Above all I thank You today for Jesus and what He means to me. Help me to make this day count for Him.
