Don’t despise a Child

“Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven.” - Matthew 18:10

The importance of little children in life cannot be over emphasised. Jesus’ words in this regard are obvious. The tendency is to look upon children as being small, inexperienced and of little importance, but we should bear in mind that famous leaders of the past and present as well as all those who have been highly acclaimed and all those who have lived out their lives were at one time small boys and girls.

A child is pliable material that can be moulded, and shaped, for a divine purpose. A tree when fully grown cannot be bent to grow a certain way, but a young sapling can.

In what way can I contribute to help little children in their life? Can I make a material or spiritual contribution to help little children fulfil their destiny in life? They have guardian angels that when in the presence of God continually look into His face. These angels have been assigned to each one.

Angels guard, guide, help and watch over these little ones. How dare we despise them and not provide, instruct and help these who have  so much value attached to them by God that they have supernatural beings assigned to them?

Dear heavenly Father, thank You for helping me to see the importance and value of a little child. Help me today to do what I can to assist children to fulfil their God-given destiny in life.
