“He who receives you receives Me, and he who receives Me receives Him who sent Me.” - Matthew 10:40
Jesus reminds us again and again that He was sent; He never came to this world of His own will but was sent by His Father. He came not to do His own will but the will of the Father who sent Him.
When Jesus is rejected then God the Father is rejected. To receive the Lord Jesus is to receive God the Father. Likewise when we accept the Lord Jesus, and acknowledge Him as our Lord, those who receive and acknowledge us also receive Him.
Jesus said, “As the Father sent Me, so send I you.” We are His sent representatives here on earth to do His will.
Most people do not read the Bible but they watch the lives and actions of those who profess that they have been sent by Christ.
Purpose today that you want others to see Jesus in you and as you do that you will also become a reflection of God the Father. When you look at Jesus you see God the Father, His love, His goodness, His mercy. Likewise, when others see us, they should see Jesus’ love, compassion, goodness and mercy.
Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for being submissive to the Father’s will for coming to this world to do the Father’s will. Today I surrender to Your will to do and be what You desire and to go wherever You send me.
