“The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way.” - Matthew 13:24-25
Jesus continues to say that both the wheat and tares grew together and the servants of the man asked if they should remove the tares, but were told, “Leave them to grow together until the harvest”; the separation will take place then.
The man who sows good seed is the Lord Jesus, and the one who sows bad seed is the devil. Those who are children of God and those who are children of the devil will be together on planet earth until the end of the age when Jesus establishes His literal kingdom.
Angels go out to reap the harvest, the tares are burned in the fire, and this will be the fate of all the children of the devil who will wail and gnash their teeth in anguish.
The righteous, however, will shine as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Another day will soon be passed as time moves on relentlessly. We hasten to that moment of harvest, it is as sure as night follows day.
Take note of what God says to you today, have an open ear to hear His voice. Be attentive to Him when He speaks.
Dear Lord Jesus, You have made it clear that there is an awful destiny awaiting those who live in disobedience to You. I choose again today to obey Your word. Whatever happens today, and in whatever situation I may be in, I thank You for Your help and guidance to choose to follow Your word.
