“He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me scatters abroad.” - Matthew 12:30
There is no middle ground or neutrality when it comes to serving the Lord Jesus. You are either for Him or against Him. This has nothing to do with a church, or denomination, or religious organisation, but a personal relationship with Him.
Do you have a meaningful, close relationship with Him? Are you really close to Him and for Him today? Examine your attitudes, your actions and your thinking. Does my life today demonstrate that I am really for Him?
Jesus chose 12 men to be His disciples. They were close observers of His life and keen to learn from Him. Before He left to go back to His Father, Peter denied Him, Judas betrayed and, in fear, they went into hiding.
However, after Jesus’ resurrection they were unafraid, willing to be beaten, ostracised, hated, persecuted, imprisoned, because they had become acquainted with a risen Christ.
Their intimate relationship with Him and the empowering through the person of the Holy Spirit, resulted in them becoming instruments in the hand of God to gather thousands upon thousands of people to Christ. Their allegiance was never in doubt again...
Dear Lord Jesus, I humble myself in Your presence today and I fully desire to be totally for you. Let me never stray from following you. Empower me by Your Spirit to live in victory today.
