“Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” - Matthew 7:9-11
It is obvious that no father who loves his son will give him a stone instead of bread or a serpent instead of a fish. Our Heavenly Father is good, kind and full of love, and delights in giving good things to His children.
For every good and perfect gift comes from above, from our Father in heaven. How is it possible for Him to give us sickness, poverty, and spiritual death? He has given us Jesus, who died for us, to redeem us from the curse of the law, which is, sickness, disease, poverty and spiritual death.
He gives eternal life, healing for our bodies and prosperity in place of poverty. He only gives what is good; all that is bad comes from the devil. Receive what is good from our Father’s hand as you ask in faith – and not doubting.
Dear Father thank You for Your love and kindness. I know You do not give us anything that is bad or hurtful but only seek to do us good. Thank You for all those good gifts that come into my life today.
