Don’t Worry

“Therefore, I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?” - Matthew 6:25

The late Kenneth Hagen, a great faith teacher, often said, “If you smoke it will half kill you, but worrying will kill you”. Worrying will affect you physically, emotionally and spiritually.

The wisdom of the Bible is this: cast all your cares upon the Lord Jesus today and refuse to have a care, put them upon Him once and forever.

There is no need to worry, because all your worrying cannot change a thing. If Jesus can take care of all the birds and feed them, why should He not be able to feed you? If He can clothe the flowers as beautifully as they are, why can He not clothe you?

When you put the Kingdom of God first in your life, material things will follow, so do not put them ahead of your commitment to God. Live today to the full and don’t try to live tomorrow before you have lived today.

Dear Lord Jesus I put myself, and all the activities that may occur today, in Your hands. I refuse to worry and I cast all my care upon You, trusting You with all my heart, knowing that You will take care of all my needs. Thank You for every provision of Your love.
