“Judge not, that you be not judged.” - Matthew 7:1
We are all too aware of the sayings “that those who live in glass houses should not throw stones,” and “when you point an accusing finger at others you have three pointing back at you”.
It is easy to find fault in others while overlooking your own. An honest assessment of ourselves should make us cautious in fault-finding in others.
But change your outlook today and see what good you can find in others and go out of your way to compliment them and watch the response as you express a kind word, or you give a small token of love and appreciation.
Resist the temptation to be critical or judgmental but rather adopt the opposite attitude and see something worthy of praise rather than condemnation.
Seek to be like Jesus when the hypocritical Pharisees were condemning a woman caught in the act of adultery. He calmly wrote, with His finger, on the ground, and then said to them “You who are without sin throw the first stone”.
We all want to be loved so share some love and kindness today and reap the benefits that will flow back in your life.
Dear Lord Jesus help me today to allow You to live Your life through me. Thank You for helping me today to be loving, kind and helpful and seeking only to follow Your example in word and deed.
