“For which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven you’, or to say ‘Arise and walk’? But that you may know that the Son of Man has power on earth to forgive sins… ‘Arise, take up your bed, and go to your house.’” - Matthew 9:5
Is it easier for God to forgive sins or to heal our bodies? Jesus said one is as easy as the other. Both the forgiveness of our sins and the healing of our bodies go hand in hand.
In Psalm 103:2-3 God says there are two benefits that are from Him that we should not forget: Who forgives all our iniquities? Who heals all our diseases?
When sin entered the human family, sickness came along with it. If there was no sin there would be no diseases and no sickness. When Jesus died on the cross He became sin with our sins that we may become the righteousness of God in Him.
He took our sicknesses so that we can be healed. He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities and, by His wounds, we are healed. You can receive both these benefits today.
Dear Lord Jesus, today I thank you for Your wonderful benefits that are mine. I believe and receive the forgiveness of my sins today through the cleansing power of Your precious blood. I thank You for the healing of my body, which is also included in your benefits, for I know with You one is as easy as the other to perform.
