“I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance. Likewise, I say to you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.” - Luke 15:7, 10
The joy in heaven must be exhilarating, beautiful to see and divine. How is joy in heaven expressed? one may ask. I am sure the way we express joy on earth is the way it is expressed in heaven, with laughter, shouting, clapping of hands and dancing - but far more expressive than here on earth. One sinner who repents creates great joy in heaven.
Although angels cannot fully grasp, or comprehend, the great miracle of salvation, there is great joy in their presence because the heart of God is filled with great joy. There is excitement and a joy that is complete, full and prolonged, because there are sinners continually receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.
When hundreds of people accept Christ in a mass crusade somewhere in Africa, the heavens erupt with joy. When a young Arab, sitting under a palm tree in the desert receives Christ there is another great swell of praise in heaven. In fact, heaven is just one great big party.
Jesus, when on the cross, suffering and dying, was a man acquainted with sorrows and grief. In His everyday life and ministry I am sure He was the very expression of joy and gladness.
Today you are blessed and filled with unspeakable joy because you are producing the fruit of joy in your spirit and it overflows to everyone.
Dear Lord Jesus thank You for Your joy that floods my being. You are my strength today. Help me to bring many people to Christ and swell the rounds of joy in heaven
