Power in Prayer

“In this manner, therefore, pray:  Our Father in Heaven, Hallowed be Your name.” - Matthew 6:9

Jesus said we must pray to the Father, and do so in His name, for whatever we ask the Father, in His name, we shall receive.

What He is, in His name, He will be to me. If, therefore, we continually repeat our requests then it is an indication that we are not sure He has heard us. He knows our needs, and is well able to supply them if we pray in faith and not in unbelief.

Here are God’s special names and their meaning:

He is Jehovah.  He is Jehovah -Jireh (God will provide). He is Jehovah-Rophe (God will restore, will heal, and will cure, not only in the physical sense but in the moral and spiritual sense also).

He is Jehovah-Nissi (God my banner. Exodus 17:5). He is Jehovah-M’Kaddesh. The God who sanctifies. Leviticus 20:8).

He is Jehovah-Shalom (The God of peace. Judges 6:24).

He is Jehovah-Tsidkenu (The God of righteousness. Jeremiah 23:5, 6).

He is Jehovah-Rohi  (God is my shepherd).

He is Jehovah-Shammah (God is there, revealed in power, majesty and glory of His person and able to meet every need of those whom He had made in His image. Ezek 48:35).

Dear Father, I come to You as my Father, who is no respecter of persons, and being Your child through the precious blood of Jesus, I can ask and know You reward those who seek You diligently.  Help me not to be disrespectful to You by asking You repeatedly for the same thing.
