“Give us day by day our daily bread.” – Luke 11:3
“Jesus loves me this I know”, is a chorus we have all sung at some time in our Christian lives. If we learnt it at Sunday school then we may just mouth the words mindlessly. But just stop for a moment and think of the power of those words...”Jesus loves me”.
We delight to hear our children or grandchildren say they love us, but how much more to grasp the fact that Jesus loves us. The Lamb of God, slain for me, the King of Kings, the Lord of Lords, and the Almighty Creator loves me.
And if God loves me and remember, His love is pure and unconditional, then why should I fret or worry about my situation. Because He loves us, He only wants the best for us, just like we always want the best for our children.
When we get this wonderful truth embedded into our spirits then we cannot be deceived by the devil’s lies. Satan will often try and cast doubts into your mind about the goodness and provision of God. Rebuke those doubts because Jesus loves and cares for you.
Oswald Chambers, the Scottish minister who penned “My Utmost for His Highest”, one of the most widely read daily devotions in the world, once said, “When we choose deliberately to obey Him, then, with all His almighty power, He will tax the remotest star and the last grain of sand to assist you.”
God is never short of supplies for His children. Heaven’s resources are unlimited and are available 24 hours a day. Just call out to Him.
Dear Father in heaven thank You for Your great love that sent Jesus to the cross for me. Forgive my doubts and help me to trust Your unfailing love and provision for me
