Faith that Heals
“Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.” - Mark 5:34
This woman, who was determined to be healed, had finally touched Jesus’ clothes, after saying to herself, “If only I may touch His clothes I shall be healed”. When she did that she was healed and Jesus commended her for her faith. It was not His faith but her faith that brought about the healing.
Observe and learn the secret today of how your faith will heal you and how your faith will obtain the desired results. The woman was at the place of desperation, having spent all her money on physicians, but was no better, in fact, her condition had deteriorated.
Firstly, she had heard about Jesus. What she heard we do not know, but no doubt it must have been about the miracles that Jesus performed. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Secondly, she said, “If only I can touch His clothes I shall be made well.”
On that day there was a large crowd following Jesus, so it must have taken determination and effort to push through the mob to finally reach out her hand and touch His clothes.
When you believe something in your heart you say it because you get what you say. Faith reveals itself by our speech - say what you believe you will receive.
She finally touched Jesus. There must be action to what you believe. To receive, you must put an action to what you really believe. You show your faith by your actions. You draw upon the ability of God when you exercise faith.
Dear heavenly Father, thank You for Your word that You have given me. Thank you that as I meditate on Your word my faith grows. Help me to say what You say, and act upon Your word.
