“Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there
they will see Me.” - Matthew 28:10
Jesus has risen from the dead, He is alive, and the message of this fact must be told. “Don’t be afraid, go and tell”.
Yet fear makes us timid and we draw back from sharing this exciting good news with others. What news could be better, more wonderful and greater than that Jesus Christ who was crucified and certified dead and buried, rose from the dead and is alive forever.
Doubt this fact and Christianity fails. Jesus entrusted two women to be the first to tell this news. We need to tell the world that Jesus is alive. Death could not hold Him, the grave is empty and He lives forevermore. He is alive to save from the “gutter most” to the uttermost.
He is able today to heal and meet all of us at the point of our need and is sufficient for every crisis in life – don’t be afraid to tell your friends, your neighbours, your relatives about this great and wonderful fact, that Jesus is alive.
You do not have to be a theologian to lead someone to Christ. Simply explain that Jesus loves them and died for their sins and offers them eternal life. Lead them in a simple prayer in which they confess Jesus as Lord and allow the Holy Spirit to work the miracle of the new birth.
A sincere meeting with Christ brings new meaning and purpose with greater fulfilment. We are sent to tell the world of His love, His grace, His mercy.
It may be an old message, but for many today it is a new message of great joy.
Dear God, in the name of the Lord Jesus, I thank You for the good news that I can share with others today that Jesus is alive and will meet our every need today as we ask Him in prayer.
