Divine Blood

“Drink from It, all of you.  For this is My blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. But I say to you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in My Father’s kingdom.” - Matthew 26:27-29

Jesus gives thanks to the Father and then gives the cup of wine to His disciples for each one to drink from it. He says that this represents His blood - which he knew he was going to shed at Calvary. The wine does not literally become His blood but represents His blood.

His blood, of course, is not like any other blood ever spilt on this earth. Jesus’ blood cleanses us of all sin and through it our sins are forgiven. Through His blood we become children of God and are born again. Through his blood we are justified and redeemed from the curse of the law, sickness, disease, poverty and spiritual death. The blood frees us from any demonic strongholds.

His blood gives us bold access into the presence of God coming into the very throne room of God. We enter this New Covenant through repentance - which entails a change of mind and a change of direction

After repentance, water baptism is a step of obedience that is necessary to fulfil all righteousness and in obedience to Christ’s instructions.  After this important step, we are to be baptised in the Holy Spirit, and are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise.

Don’t settle for anything less, make sure you have entered into this covenant relationship with God and enjoy all its benefits.

Dear Lord Jesus, thank You for this wonderful New Covenant and all the benefits and privileges that are mine through it. Thank You for the blood which You shed for my sins.
