“The Son of Man indeed goes just as it is written of Him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born.” - Matthew 26:24

Judas, who was one of Jesus’ disciples, went to the religious leaders and for the sum of 30 pieces of silver agreed to betray Jesus into their hands. But he sold more than Jesus – he sold his own soul and its worth he put on it was a measly 30 pieces of silver.

The Bible asks the question, “What shall a man give in exchange for his soul? What value do you place on your soul?

The Bible asks, “What shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? You can betray Jesus by your sexual lust; by your drug or alcohol addiction; by your unbelief and rejection of the Lord Jesus. We can betray Him by our denial of Him and our affection for material things that pass away with time and decay.

Do not allow anything to separate you from God, rather purpose in your heart to be loyal and faithful to Him. Choosing other things instead of the Lord Jesus is dangerous and the consequence is eternal separation from God.

Dear Lord Jesus I determine today that my loyalty  to You will never falter and by Your help I will follow you and serve You with all my heart for as long as I live on this earth.
