“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the sons of God." - Matthew 5:9
War and strife have been common to humanity since the first man, Adam, was placed upon the earth. Peace Accords have been signed between nations for centuries, but we seemingly cannot live at peace with one another.
God says, the wicked are like the troubled sea that casts up mire and dirt, and that there is no peace for the wicked.
Jesus stood in a small fishing boat in the midst of a raging tempest on the sea of Galilee and said, “Peace, be still”, and the wind stopped its fury and the waves lay down at His feet like a whimpering dog. Jesus said, “Peace I give you, not as the world gives, I give to you”. He came to establish peace between God and man.
The devil, if he can, will try to rob us of our peace but remember that Jesus will keep you in perfect peace as your mind is stayed upon Him. One of the fruits of the Holy Spirit is peace.
We emulate Him and work at establishing peace in the lives of others. We may never win the Nobel peace award but we certainly can witness about Jesus Christ and see them reconciled and at peace with God.
Dear Father in heaven, I ask You in Jesus name to help me to find someone I can introduce to You so that the war that rages within them may cease and that they may be at peace with You.
