“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” - John 15:16
We all have the experience of going shopping and spending time on trying to make the best decision about our purchase. If it is a pair of shoes we first settle on the colour, then of course the size and then fit them on and walk around to see that they are comfortable.
When you are finally satisfied you make your final choice and buy the shoes.
Just think about it for a moment today, that out of all the millions of people on the planet He chose you and appointed you to bear fruit for Him.
I have a God-appointed destiny on planet earth. God chooses each one of us for a purpose. Like the shoes you choose, they may be for sport, for casual wear or for evening wear. You choose them for a reason.
Your decision to follow Christ is a not casual decision. It is not as though God nods with agreement when someone is born again and then forgets about them.
Right from the moment you experience salvation, God takes a personal interest in you and your life. He wants only the best for you.
He is more than a doting earthly father. He is your heavenly Father and He has heaven’s resources available to Him to bless you with.
Find out what God has appointed you to be and do and endeavour, by His help, to fulfil that destiny. Whether to teach, or to be a doctor, a lawyer, a property developer or business person. And if you are a mother at home looking after the children your purpose is just as important to God as you make your home a haven of peace and security for your family and teach your children about Jesus.
So stop thinking God has no purpose for your life. He does.
Dear heavenly Father, thank You that You have a purpose for me in this world. Thank You that You have chosen me and appointed me to bear fruit. I know whatever I ask for in the name of the Lord Jesus I shall receive.
