“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” - John 14:26
The Holy Spirit is distinct from the Lord Jesus and the Father but is part of the Godhead or Holy Trinity. He is as much God as the Father and the Lord Jesus.
He is to be revered and honoured in the same manner that we honour the Father and the Lord Jesus.
The Holy Spirit not only anoints with power for service, but is the still quiet voice within our hearts to guide us in our pilgrim journey. He is ever present to comfort us.
The writers of the gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, were to record for all time the teachings, miracles and wonders of Jesus. They were guided in this by the Holy Sprit. It is impossible to account for the Bible apart from the miraculous inspiration of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the one who makes the scriptures come alive to our hearts and gives us insight and understanding of God’s word.
If you have not received this wonderful gift, open your life to Him today and receive Him.
Dear heavenly Father, thank You for the wonderful gift of the Holy Spirit and for Your word which is made alive to me by Your Spirit.
