“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with
Me, scatters.” - Luke 11:23
Jesus says that you are either with Him or against Him. There is no neutral ground. You cannot vacillate or sit on the fence. It is either one or the other.
When Moses was leading the people of Israel through the wilderness he went up Mount Sinai and was given the commandments of God. On his return to the camp of Israel he found that the people were worshipping an idol. He called upon the people to decide and choose between idolatry and the living God. He asked them, who is on the Lord’s side?
On which side are you today? Are you with Him or against Him? He called men to be His disciples who were to be with Him daily, following Him and being taught by Him.
The results of being with Him caused them to receive revelation, anointing and understanding of Him. It caused them to spread the gospel after Jesus had ascended to heaven.
When deciding for Jesus only you take up your cross and accept whatever that may entail. It also means that you live a life submitted completely to the obedience of God’s word.
Today, ask yourself the question: “Am I drawing people to Jesus Christ or is my influence on others scattering them from Him”.
Dear heavenly Father, thank You for the change that You bring about in a life through the new birth. I am committed today to live in fellowship with You through the Lord Jesus. I want my life to be used in drawing people to You.
